Snowboarding Socks

Like snowboarding base layers, do yourself a favor and avoid using cotton socks if you want to keep your feet dry.   Wool or synthetic fibre socks designed and made especially for snowboarding are the way to go.

Snowboard socks are usually padded around the shin area and underfoot as well.   They are thin and not intended to provide significant warmth.   Instead, they're designed to protect your feet from pressure points and rubbing inside the boots.   A good snowboard sock should wick moisture away and not impede your ability to make quick turns in the snow. 

When buying snowboarding socks look out for high density cushioning around the in sole and toe for increased durability, extra comfort and protection.
